Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the IndieCycling app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Who Can Use the App
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.
- You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. What You Can Do
IndieCycling lets you:
- Create and manage a personal cycling profile
- Create, join, and leave cycling clubs
- Schedule and join group rides
- View other participants' public profiles within clubs and rides you share
5. What You Cannot Do
You may not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or create a misleading profile
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Share false or misleading information about rides or clubs (e.g. incorrect locations or difficulty levels)
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its backend
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute any user data obtained through the App
6. User-Generated Content
You may submit content such as club names, ride descriptions, profile bios, and participation notes ("Content"). By submitting Content, you confirm that:
- You own it or have the right to share it
- It does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- It is accurate to the best of your knowledge
We do not actively monitor Content but reserve the right to remove anything that violates these Terms.
7. Physical Activity Disclaimer
Group rides organised through IndieCycling involve physical activity and inherent risks. By joining a ride, you acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for assessing whether a ride suits your fitness level and experience
- The App does not verify ride conditions, route safety, or the accuracy of ride details entered by organisers
- You should always follow local road rules and wear appropriate safety gear
- IndieCycling is not liable for any injury, accident, or loss that occurs during a ride
Ride with care and within your limits.
8. Club Organiser Responsibilities
If you create a club or organise a ride, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate ride details (distance, difficulty, start location, time)
- Communicating any changes to participants in a timely manner
- Ensuring rides are conducted safely and within the law
9. Termination
We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us (see Section 12).
10. Changes to the App
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IndieCycling and its developer are not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
- Loss of data, injury, or damage resulting from activities organised through the App
- Actions or content of other users
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
